Salary Breakdown & Tax FAQ

Is this calculation accurate?

Yes, the tool follows the official slab rates and rebate rules for the 2025 Union Budget (India). It includes the updated standard deduction of ₹75,000 for the New Regime and ₹50,000 for the Old Regime.

Note: While highly precise, actual figures may vary slightly depending on your company’s specific CTC structure (HRA, Special Allowances) and your exact investment proofs. Use this as a high-precision estimate for your financial planning.

How is Marginal Relief calculated for 2025-26?

For FY 2025-26, the New Tax Regime provides a full rebate on taxable income up to ₹12 Lakhs. However, if your income is slightly above ₹12 Lakhs (e.g., ₹12.05 Lakhs), your tax could theoretically jump to ₹60,000. Marginal Relief ensures that your tax never exceeds the income you earned above the ₹12 Lakh limit.

What deductions are allowed in the New Regime?

The New Tax Regime has been simplified. For FY 2025-26, the only major deduction available is the Standard Deduction of ₹75,000. Exemptions like HRA, 80C, and NPS are only available in the Old Tax Regime.

Does this tool store my financial data?

No. All calculations are performed 100% locally in your browser using JavaScript. Your salary and investment details are never sent to our servers or stored anywhere.
